The Idaho State-Civic Symphony presents: "One Day at a Time" a live concert at the Stephens Performing Arts Center on September 26th. 

The ISCS season opens with "Voluntary Breath," a deeply personal new tenor saxophone solo composed and performed by ISU's own Jonathan Armstrong. With melodies inspired by Jon's experience caring for his newborn son as he struggled to survive, the concerto blends elements of jazz, Western classical and world music. It is a meditation on uncertainty, hope, creativity and the courageous choice to love deeply and vulnerably. Rimsky-Korsakov's "Scheherezade" which follow is a dazzling orchestral journey inspired by the tales of the Arabian Nights.
