Name: Station Square Tour & Presentation
Date: April 16, 2019
Time: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM MDT
Event Description:
Station Square Tour & Presentation The Bannock County Historical Society will be meeting Tuesday, April 16th at 7 PM for a guided tour of Station Square (200 S. Main in Old Town) by entrepreneur Denis Clijsters of Bricks and More, LLC. Denis is one of the owners of Station Square and Fargo Apartments. Prior to settling in Pocatello, a little over 2 years ago, Denis lived in SF Bay Area and multiple countries in Asia. He was born and raised in Belgium and graduated with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Antwerp. Denis will conduct a walking tour while he discusses the reasons he and his business partner decided to invest in Pocatello, the plans they have for the buildings, the progress made thus far, and the updates and changes that are scheduled. The tour through Station Square will include the 3rd residential floor which has been vacant for over 40 years and left intact. It's a beautiful untouched piece of history and its potential is a tremendous opportunity for Old Town. His presentation will also include information about the ongoing renovations at the Fargo Apartments. He has further teased a major announcement regarding a new project in Old Town that he and a group of other people have been working on. This will be a fun and informative event, not to be missed. Just prior to the tour there will be a very brief Society business meeting. Due to the nature of the event standing and walking are involved, so if you are unable to stand for at least 15 minutes please bring a camp chair/stool. Parking will be at the Union Pacific lot behind the Square, the rear door to the building will be open. The event is free and open to the public, but please RSVP to Lynn or Deb at 208-233-0434 or bancohismus@gmail.com as there is limited space.
